Dan just asked me a question about how to accomplish a simple task in Microsoft Excel that I think other people might be interested in learning about. Imagine you have a single row of values that you want to change into a column (perhaps for sorting reasons) or perhaps you have a column that you need to change into a row, but you don't want a PivotTable (perhaps you're not done with your editing). Rather than retype all of your values into the column or row, you can take advantage of Excel's transform feature. Simply highlight and copy the values you want to rotate. Click on a new cell and select Edit..Paste Special and click the Transform checkbox. Voilá! Your row becomes a column or your column becomes a row.
