Everyone be careful out there, OK?

It's been a bad week for people I love.  Last weekend I drove back to my home town, Augusta GA.  The father of my childhood best friend passed away last Thursday after a long bout with a particularly aggressive lymphoma.  He'd been sick for a while and everyone was in good spirits, talking about the good times.  It really was nice to see everyone again and it reminded me of how far away I'd let myself drift.
Tonight I learned that a close friend's baby passed away.  The poor little guy had been born with a terminal mitochondrial disorder but was truly a bright spot in every life he touched.  Everyone who met him or held him fell in love.

AE and Adam, we love you both and we hope you're enjoying that better place I know you're in.
