First session of the day was HOL of Vista development

Matt, Keith and I (some of the Atlanta MS pros minus Dan) went to a Hands on Lab of Vista for the first session of the day.  The labs were very rough, but showed a lot of the features that will really change in Vista for developers.  One major change that I found was the Session that services will run under.  Today Sessions run under Session 0 just like the user, but in the future in Vista Session 0 will not be interactive and Session 1 will be the first session.  Just for going we all got a free Windows Vista book bag that Dan will be jealous of when we get home.

Also this morning we got some new materials and give aways from the product teams. Great Stuff.  The major item that we got was a TechEd Edition of a book called "7 Development projects for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services Version 3.0".  I know it is a long book title, but it looks like a great book.  We have met Ted Pattision who wrote the first 2 chapters and he was a great guy.  Again Dan is going to be really upset he didn't make a deal with me to get him all the material at TechEd.
